    Film Review: MY AUTOPSY (2020)

Poppy BlundellBy Poppy Blundell17th November 2022No Comments1 Min Read

MY AUTOPSY *** USA 2020 Dir: Holly Mollohan. 111 mins

MY AUTOPSY is an excellent drama following Rachel (Gareth Tidball) as she rids herself of abusive boyfriend Vince (Dave Stishan).

For a low-budget indie film, I felt this was really well put together, although some scenes did begin to drag slightly. A little editing could easily solve this issue.

Main actress Gareth Tidball is superb, as always. Her brilliant display of emotion carried the storyline through the almost two hour runtime. She was able to express a variety of different emotions and was respectful of the hard-hitting storyline that focuses on the controlling and violent behaviour that can be found in an abusive relationship.

Writer / Director Holly Mollohan creates a realistic plot that shows courage. It may have been a harrowing subject, yet it was an easy to follow and enjoyable film.
