Crawl inside an abandoned gold mine in Wilderness Tapes: Volume One, a claustrophobic horror
film from Ghost Machine Pictures. Described as “The Descent meets The Twilight Zone,” this
subterranean thriller explores a gold rush era catastrophe never fully explained. Does a malevolent
presence still lurk deep inside the mountain?
Written and directed by Emmy Award-winner Brandon Walker, the film stars Thomas Burke (Alone
in the After), ELIOT (Dhar Mann) and Nathan Church (Ghosts of Hiroshima).
Synopsis:
Nearly a million smartphones and cameras are lost in the wilderness each year. For the first time in
history, recovered footage from such devices is broadcast in a chilling anthology series. In
Wilderness Tapes: Volume One, a modern day rockhound explores an abandoned gold mine,
plunging headlong into a supernatural curse.
“It’s about producing big scares on a tiny budget,” says Ghost Machine Pictures co-founder Ashley
Park. “Our team climbed inside a decrepit gold mine and experienced a real-life wilderness
adventure while making this suffocating horror film.”
Wilderness Tapes: Volume One premieres exclusively on Found TV New Year’s Day. Worldwide
digital release to follow in February 2026.
