The synopsis is: The film centers on Sage, a Southeast Michigan recovery facility run by the seemingly benevolent Louise “Nanny Lou” Stamey (Tilton). However, patients Rodney (Cole) and Dustin (Chinappi), discover that her operation prioritizes profit over patient care, revealing a sinister reality beneath the surface.
“Working on final recovery is a career highlight for me getting to work with Charlene Tilton and Richard Tyson has been an incredible experience. Finally getting this to the screen after 16 years has made me so incredibly happy and I’m grateful to everyone.” Cole said in a statement.
Notably, Cherish Lee and her mother, Charlene Tilton, collaborate on screen for the first time, with Lee also contributing original music to the film.
“Final Recovery” is directed by Harley Wallen from a script penned by Jerry Lee Davis and Nick Theurer.
“We tackled very heavy subjects of addiction and mental health but in a way that felt unique and special and it felt really organic and highly collaborative and ended up with a pretty wild ride” Said Director Harley Wallen.
“Final Recovery” is a thriller exposing the dark side of addiction recovery. It is scheduled for release May 2nd on Tubi and Amazon by Buffalo 8.
