NOTHING ELSE *** USA 2021 Dir: Timoth Conrad. 70 mins
A strong opening credits starts NOTHING ELSE off on an excellent footing as two strangers find themselves trapped together as they try to work out what happened to lead them to the room.
This was a repetitive film that became a little tiresome at times. Thankfully it has a great premise and an original outcome that makes this interesting.
I felt the runtime was just right as I did feel my attention begin to waver on occasion. It was quite good, especially for an indie film. With great acting, a good plot and a simplistic approach, a lot can be accomplished, as evidenced here.
The effects were minimal which worked really well. It was nice to see an indie film that didn’t overshoot it’s capabilities. It was certainly well worth a watch.
