Acclaimed actors Julian Glover (For Your Eyes Only, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back), Patsy Kensit (Lethal Weapon 2, Absolute Beginners), Mark Wingett (Quadrophenia, “Carver” from The Bill), Vicki Michelle (‘Allo ‘Allo, Bermondsey Tales), Helen Lederer (Absolutely Fabulous, Comedian award winner) have joined “Borley Rectory: The Awakening” is a new feature film from Amplifier Films & Greenway Entertainment. Kaleidoscope Film Distribution are handling sales on the film with a Fall 2025 release.
Synopsis:
Based on the TRUE EVENTS of the most haunted house in England. In 1900, the young Reverend Henry Bull and his sister Kitty have taken over duties of the family home. They start to encounter terrifying paranormal activity. To protect their Mother and sisters from the demonic intrusion they must call upon the services a family friend who will help discover the origins of the ghosts that haunt Borley Rectory.
Steven M. Smith (The Ghosts of Borley Rectory, Essex Boys: Law of Survival) and founder of Greenway Entertainment is the director, and the film is co-written with Christopher Jolley, and it is produced by Steven M. Smith and Louisa Warren (Cinderella’s Curse, Welsh Ghost Story).
Steven M. Smith, a successful filmmaker, who has built a solid career producing over 70 projects in the past 20 years, mainly thriller, horror and supernatural genres, said – “It is amazing to have legendary actors working with me on this film. I cannot wait to show everybody the true origins of Borley Rectory with some great jump scares and suspense”.
The film cast up and coming talent Jess Inchbald, Corneille Dion Williams, Charlotte Luxford, Jenna Wilson and Lora Hristova as the Bull family who lived at Borley Rectory. With Simon Phillips, Lee Brown and Samantha Anderson in key roles.
