HUNT HER, KILL HER *** USA 2022 Dir: Greg Swinson and Ryan Thiessen. 89 mins

On her first day on the job, a janitor settles into her night shift. A sense of peace enveloped the surroundings, creating an illusion of tranquility. However, this serene atmosphere was abruptly shattered for a lone janitor on the night shift. Suddenly, she found herself in the midst of a terrifying ordeal as sinister intruders, donning eerie masks, targeted her as their victim. The janitor’s initial calmness was replaced by a surge of adrenaline as she realized the gravity of the situation.
With no one to turn to for help, she had to rely on her own wit and courage to outsmart the malevolent intruders. Drawing upon her inner strength, she tapped into her primal instincts, unleashing a fierce determination to endure the night until the first light of dawn. This harrowing experience tested her limits, pushing her to the brink as she fought tooth and nail to overcome the odds stacked against her.
As the night wears on, the sinister invaders gradually unveil their hidden motives, sending shivers down your spine. With each passing minute, the janitor’s determination grows fiercer, fueled by a potent blend of fear and adrenaline surging through her system. Utilizing her innate cunning and quick-wittedness, she deftly navigates the labyrinthine corridors and concealed recesses of the edifice, capitalizing on her extensive knowledge of the premises to gain a strategic advantage.
The execution of the action in this film is truly remarkable. The filmmakers have managed to create an exceptional piece of work that showcases their talent and attention to detail. The visuals and sound design have been carefully planned and executed, resulting in a captivating experience for the audience. The camera work is particularly impressive, with every shot being purposeful and contributing to the overall narrative.
Moreover, the movie seamlessly integrates instances of black comedy, which contribute an additional dimension of complexity to the narrative. These instances serve as a distinctive and surprising turn of events, thereby enriching the overall cinematic journey. By infusing dark humor into the storyline, the film manages to captivate the audience with its unexpected twists, elevating the overall impact of the viewing experience.
Despite the challenges posed by budget constraints, the filmmakers have demonstrated their talent and creativity in delivering a thrilling and unforgettable movie-watching experience. With its captivating storyline and immersive atmosphere, “Hunt Her, Kill Her” is a testament to the power of storytelling and filmmaking. I recommend you consider giving this film a try and immersing yourself in the journey it takes you on.
I rate this film 3 out of 5!
