SATAN LIVES: THE RISE OF THE ILLUMINATI HOTTIES *** USA 2022 Dir: Sean Donohue. 62 mins
Fair warning to those who are easily offended by nudity, this film isn’t for you, but for those who like their films full of depravity then this latest flick from Sean Donohue (NAKED CANNIBAL CAMPERS) (2020) will tick all the boxes in your lustful mind.
Sean’s latest film is presented in the SOV format that many of us fans of the horror genre would be familiar with. Its the Summer of 1992 and two documentary filmmakers are making a documentary about Richard Lemeau (Bob Glazier) who is the leader of a Satanic church. While Richard has his own beliefs about his church the filmmakers go in search of past and present members of the church to find out what they know. As you would imagine some of these people are not too keen on Richard and his church, telling the filmmakers stories of sexual deviancy and squalor at the church. While this is all going on a takeover of the Satanic church is being hatched by Patricia (Jessa Flux) along with her friend Kelly (Sushii Xhyvette Holder). As we discover from Patricia, the Satanic church is backed by the Illuminati and now these two women aim to take down Richard and with the help of Patricia’s spirit guide Tobin become the leaders of the church and ultimately sit at the head of the table of the Illuminati.
SATAN LIVES: THE RISE OF THE ILLUMINATI HOTTIES features a lot of the human body on show, not only from the female leads Jessa Flux (CANNIBAL HOOKERS) (2019) and Sushii Xhyvette Holder (PANDEMIC THIRST) (2022) but also (as is the case with the majority of Gatorblade Films and/or The Sleaze Box films) Bob Glazier (CANNIBAL CLAUS) (2016) is happy to get his member out for all to see. There are also some familiar faces from both film production companies other films such as: Katie McKinley (DEATH-SCORT SERVICE PART 2: THE NAKED DEAD) (2017), Ashley Lynn Caputo (CHAOS A.D.) (2016) and Lunathyst (PANDEMIC THIRST) (2022).
While the story in the film does end up being more of a background piece, lets be honest this film is more about the blood and sleaze on screen. This is essentially a sexploitation film with trashy horror elements thrown in for good measure. Just like Bob Glazier’s penis, SATAN LIVES: THE RISE OF THE ILLUMINATI HOTTIES goes hard and aims to please.
Jessa Flux and Sushii Xhyvette Holder have wonderful screen chemistry and I for one would love to see these two work together on another movie.
I will re-iterate that this film is NOT for the easily offended, it is also not for those who are looking for John Carpenter style storytelling, instead just prepare yourself for a bonkers sexual movie.
