    The Upcoming

    Starring

Jim Gaffigan (The Jim Gaffigan Show, Peter Pan & Wendy), Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul, Veep), Katelyn Nacon (The Walking Dead, T@gged), Gabriel Rush (Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel), Amy Hargreaves (Homeland, 13 Reasons Why),Tony Shalhoub (The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel), West Duchovny (A Mouthful of Air, The Report)

Grammy-nominated stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan plays a TV show host who endeavours to fulfil his childhood dream of becoming an astronaut, but a series of bizarre events make him begin to question his own reality in Linoleum.

This original, thought-provoking, and hugely entertaining feature from one-to-watch writer-director Colin West (Ghost Walker), garnered critical acclaim at SXSW and London Film Festival and is out now on digital platforms in the UK from 101 Films.

Cameron Edwin (Gaffigan) always dreamed of becoming an astronaut, but his career path led him to television instead… as the host of a kid’s science programme, Above & Beyond. When the network announces it will move the failing show to a late-night slot, it’s clear that the glory days are well and truly over… and to add to Cameron’s woes, his marriage to Erin (Rhea Seehorn) is on the rocks.

Then a space satellite mysteriously lands in his backyard… triggering a full-blown midlife crisis, that sees him obsessively building a rocket in his garage, in an attempt to make his dreams come true.

Spending all his time on his fixation, his relationship with his wife and his daughter (Katelyn Nacon) becomes more and more strained as surreal events unfold around him – a doppelgänger moves into the house next door, a car falls from the sky and a strange teenager tries to befriend him.

As Cameron starts to consider whether these things are connected, he begins to call into question everything he’s ever known. Will his life ever be the same again?

Mixing fantasy, science-fiction and comedy, along with the surreal and the seeming banality of everyday existence, Linoleum promises a stellar journey like no other.

This fantastical, life-affirming, magical mystery rocket ride will stay with you long after lift-off.
