SKYPEMARE *** USA 2013 Dir: John Fitzpatrick. 8 mins
It’s Halloween, there’s a full moon and freshly dumped buxom babe Cerina Vincent is having a Skype chat with her BFF while the news broadcast in the background reports on an escaped convict on the loose.
Soon she’s receiving file transfers from a killer gleefully documenting his dismembering antics. Built around an age-old clichéd premise (shades of “And All Through The House” amongst others), it’s very slickly done, with an appropriately melodramatic score and an engagingly ironic twist. Vincent’s boobs were always better than her acting, but she’s OK here.
