Set against the backdrop of one of England’s most notorious haunted locations, the film brings together a stellar cast led by legendary actors Julian Glover, known for his iconic roles in For Your Eyes Only, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, and Patsy Kensit, acclaimed for her performances in Lethal Weapon 2 and Absolute Beginners.
The Story Behind “Borley Rectory: The Awakening”
Based on true events, Borley Rectory: The Awakening revolves around the haunting of the Rectory, with its origins tied to the early 1900s. Reverend Henry Bull and his sister Kitty take over the family home, only to be greeted by frightening paranormal activity. As the disturbances escalate, the Bull family must enlist the help of a family friend, an expert in the occult, to uncover the secrets behind the restless spirits tormenting their home.
Filmmaker Steven M. Smith, whose previous works include The Ghosts of Borley Rectory and Sweeney Todd: Slice & Dice, takes the helm as director of this spine-tingling film. Written by Smith and Christopher Jolley, Borley Rectory: The Awakening promises an unsettling mix of ghostly apparitions, suspense, and moments that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Alongside Glover and Kensit, the film features a talented ensemble cast, including Mark Wingett (Quadrophenia, The Bill), Vicki Michelle (’Allo ‘Allo, Bermondsey Tales), and Helen Lederer (Absolutely Fabulous) and Simon Phillips (Fubar, The Witcher). Newcomers Jess Inchbald, Corneille Dion Williams, Charlotte Luxford, Jenna Wilson, and Lora Hristova join the cast, adding their own compelling performances to the mix.
