An independent horror film project by Enigma Movie Productions has officially surpassed 100% of its initial crowdfunding goal, securing full production of its planned short film and igniting momentum for a potential feature-length adaptation.
The short film marks the directorial debut of Denis Metev (Exit #6, Recorded 2) and stars Alice Kutskova (Exit #6) alongside Bulgarian indie filmmaker Miroslav Petkov (Whispers, Recorded) as a couple being tormented by a masked killer, blending psychological tension with classic slasher elements.
Backed by a growing community of horror fans, the filmmakers confirmed that the short film is now fully funded and guaranteed to move into production. The team expressed deep gratitude to supporters, emphasizing that the project’s success is entirely driven by its audience.
“With the short film now 100% happening, we’re thrilled to start bringing this story to life,” Enigma Movie Productions shared. “The support has been incredible, and it’s pushed us to think even bigger.”
Building on this momentum, the team has announced a new stretch goal: if funding reaches €5,000, the project will be expanded into a full-length feature film. This extended version will dive deeper into the film’s mythology, expanding the lore behind the masked killer while delivering a richer narrative and more immersive horror experience.
The proposed feature-length version aims to elevate the project beyond its original scope, with improved production value and the opportunity to collaborate with additional talent.
As the campaign continues, the filmmakers are encouraging horror enthusiasts to join the movement- whether by sharing the project or contributing to the next milestone.
For fans of independent horror, this project represents a rare opportunity to directly shape the evolution of a film from short concept to full feature.
