Independent Found Footage Horror Film “The Waiting Man” Launches Kickstarter to Fund the last part of the budget for filming in 2026.

Filmmakers Carl Sundström & Nathaniel Pellikka Erlandsson invites audiences to help bring this nightmare to the screen.

Carl Sundström and Nathaniel Pellikka Erlandsson has officially launched a Kickstarter campaign for The Waiting Man, an independent horror film about the streamer TOMNI who gets targeted by The Waiting Man. The campaign aims to raise $3000 to fund the production.

    ABOUT THE FILM

The Waiting Man tells the story of a streamer, TOMNI, who saw a strange man outside his window and made a choice that he would come to wish he didn’t. For the last millennium frighteningly similar reports of a mysterious figure have been documented. This is the common denominator in hundreds of disappearances throughout the world. He stumbled across the phenomenon known as Alikabiha, the Waiting Man.

Carl Sundström and Nathaniel Pellikka Erlandsson have collaborated on two feature films before. First it was the five time awards winning horror documentary, Documenting the Witch Path, that was edited as a found footage horror film. Then they wrote the slow burn horror feature called Reportage November where they explored the dark secrets of the Swedish wilderness. From film festivals to streaming platforms such as TubiTv, Prime etc. they are now taking a huge leap in their storytelling. This time around they aim to create a thrill that never lets up, making sure that the audience feels just as alone as our terrified protagonist. A journey down into a bottomless pit of madness and despair. The Waiting Man is offering horror sequences rivaling the best that the found footage genre have offered.

    THE KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN

The Kickstarter campaign will run from October 30th to December 4th, with a funding goal of $3000. Contributions will support Actors fees, traveling expenses, food and housing arrangements. Backers can receive exclusive rewards, including: A thanks in the credits, digital poster, digital manuscript, exclusive Blu-ray, producer credit and much more.
