Fans of the Supernatural Left Wanting More as Producers Confirm No Third Series
After two spine-chilling seasons that captivated audiences worldwide, the hit documentary series Apparitions has officially been cancelled, with no plans for a third season. The series, which first aired in 2020, quickly became a fan-favorite among supernatural enthusiasts, blending eerie real-life encounters with a gripping, Twilight Zone-esque presentation.
Produced in the United Kingdom, Apparitions took viewers on a journey into the world of the unexplained, covering everything from ghostly visitations and alien encounters to cryptids and modern witchcraft. Hosted by renowned horror actor and investigative mythologist Nathan Head, the series delved into terrifying and otherworldly experiences, drawing from first-hand accounts and expert insights.
The show’s origins trace back to 2016 when interview footage was initially recorded for an abandoned project, Aberration: Into The Unknown. This material was later revived, expanded upon, and reworked into Apparitions, which entered full production in 2019. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the first five episodes were completed in April 2020 and debuted on July 24th of that year across major streaming platforms, including Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV. The series was later rebranded as Paranormal Tales From Beyond on Tubi, where it reached even more viewers.
Following its immense success, a second series, titled Apparitions II, was released on Tubi on May 21st, 2023, and later broadcast on Paranormal Investigation TV. The original series was also re-released in July 2024 on Janson Media’s Extreme Mysteries channel under its original Aberration title. The full list of episodes across both seasons included supernatural investigations into ghost hunting, mythical creatures, fairies, and eerie true-life accounts:
    Season One:
S1E1: In Search of the Kelsall Witch
    S1E2: Frightening Encounters
S1E3: Alien Visitors From Outer Space
    S1E4: Supernatural Interventions
    S1E5: Ghostbusting in England
    Season Two:
    S2E1: Is There Anyone There?
    S2E2: Let’s All Be Fairies
    S2E3: Good vs Evil
    S2E4: What A Monster!
    S2E5: Of The Dead
Despite its cult following and continued popularity among lovers of the paranormal, producers have now confirmed that the journey has come to an end. Nathan Head, who not only hosted but played a key role in bringing the show to life, stated:
“There are no plans for a third series, and everyone involved has now moved on to other projects. We’re incredibly grateful for the support from fans who made the show such a success.”
While no new episodes will be made, Apparitions remains available for streaming, ensuring that its eerie tales of the unexplained continue to thrill audiences old and new. The series may be ending, but its legacy lives on in the stories, mysteries, and phenomena it uncovered.
For fans of all things supernatural, the world of Apparitions is still just a click away—because the unknown never truly disappears. The show’s legacy will continue to inspire future paranormal documentaries.
