Exclusive Interview: Alexxis Marcia (MURDERFEST)
How did you get attached to MURDERFEST?
I sent in a self tape audition, I had no connections with the production and this was my first time working with them. I loved the script as soon as I saw the sides so when I got the call that I booked the role I was very excited.
How was it working with Tim Hannigan?
It was an amazing, collaborative process. Tim was very open which I appreciated as an actress, there was a moment with multiple screams that I felt needed less and he told me to do what felt right.
What was your favorite scene?
My favourite scene is a little bit of a spoilers so I’m going to pick one in the trailer! The first scene when one of the killers has there hand over my mouth in the woods.
What makes this film stand out?
Genuine horror, less special effects and more creativity!
Do you have any favorite horror films?
My number one favourite movie is A Nightmare On Elm Street. My biggest dream as an actress is to work on a remake!
What made you want to get into acting?
A Nightmare On Elm Street was the first film that inspired me to act, as well as fantasy movies like Alice In Wonderland, or other paranormal movies like The Conjuring. I love to enter other worlds where things beyond reality are possible!

What’s next for you?
Currently living in LA, I just wrapped my first pilot so hoping for the show to be greenlit!!
