Film Review: TO YOUR LAST DEATH (2019)

Synopsis: Emerging as the sole survivor of her father’s twisted game, a woman receives an offer from a supernatural entity to go back in time and try again. Now, she must relive the worst night of her life if she’s to save her siblings from certain doom.

To Your Last Death is an animated horror film that has an amazing cast providing the voice talent to it including Morena Baccarin from Deadpool, Star Trek‘s William Shatner, Twin Peaks Ray Wise, Rob Zombie film favourite Bill Moseley and Dani Lennon from The Love Witch and The Shasta Triangle.

To Your Last Death is a very dark horror offering from director Jason Axinn the film is totally animated and is delivered in an almost graphic novelisation style reminiscent of late 90’s cult animation and anime, this is an extremely violent animated horror movie that will grab you by the throat and will please the eye even if you aren’t usually a fan of animation, I’m sure you will enjoy this if you are a horror fan.

At first when I read about the cast attached to the project and thought…What? A horror cartoon or animation will this work?…Well it did, this was an amazing horror film that is very uniquely delivered. The use of late 90’s animation works so well here and makes it less cartoony, so it’s real art, less Scooby Doo!

This film has set the standard now for dark animation. I really was blown away by this animated masterpiece and was truly left wanting more!

A superb original, horror offering!
