The 2011 horror film is directed by Lucky McKee (May), who co-wrote the screenplay with Jack Ketchum, based on their novel of the same name. Pollyanna McIntosh (The Walking Dead), Angela Bettis (May), Sean Bridgers (Deadwood), and Lauren Ashley Carter (Pod) star.
The Woman arrives on VHS in a black clamshell case with artwork by Vanessa McKee. It is officially licensed from Arrow Video and has been approved by director Lucky McKee. The release is limited to 100 tapes.
Each copy includes an exclusive introduction by actress Lauren Ashley Carter and letters from director Lucky Mckee and producer Andrew van den Houten. Stay tuned after the movie for a special feature: an interview with Lauren Ashley Carter.
Synopsis:
The Woman (Pollyanna McIntosh), is the last surviving member of a deadly clan of feral cannibals that has roamed the American wilderness for decades. When successful country lawyer Chris Cleek (Sean Bridgers) stumbles upon her whilst hunting in the woods, he decides to capture and “civilize” her with the help of his seemingly perfect all-American family, including his wife Belle (Angela Bettis) and daughter Peggy (Lauren Ashley Carter). The Cleeks will soon learn, however, that hell hath no fury like The Woman scorned…
