Two Recognizable Entertainment Personalities Join the Next Chapter of the Long-Running Horror Franchise, Which Breaks New Ground with Its First-Ever Found-Footage Installment

The world of Witchcraft continues to expand with the announcement that comedian, producer, and viral video creator Tom Mabe and actor, television personality, and producer Kato Kaelin have joined Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light as Executive Producers.

Their addition brings together two distinctive entertainment careers as the long-running horror franchise enters its next chapter with a new story steeped in occult lore, ancient manuscripts, and the dark secrets of a mysterious cult.

Directed by Carissa Pierson and written by Andrew Pierson, Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light marks a major milestone for the franchise as the first found-footage film in the history of the Witchcraft series. Blending the franchise’s supernatural horror roots with an immersive found-footage approach, the film introduces a chilling new chapter centered on The Children of the Hollow and the sinister legacy of a 15th-century manuscript known as The Lanterne of Light.

The production also aims to distinguish itself within the found-footage genre by bringing together a Hollywood cast in a format more commonly associated with smaller, independent productions. With an ensemble of recognizable screen talent, the film combines the immediacy and realism of found-footage storytelling with established Hollywood names, creating a distinctive approach to the long-running horror franchise.

“With Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light, we’re taking this franchise into new territory. Bringing the story to life through found-footage filmmaking while assembling such a recognizable cast and experienced executive producing team makes this an exciting new chapter for the series,” says director Carissa Pierson.

TOM MABE: COMEDY, PRODUCTION, AND A DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT PHENOMENON

Tom Mabe has built a multifaceted entertainment career as a comedian, writer, producer, and digital video creator. Widely recognized for his outrageous prank calls, inventive comedy videos, and Mabe in America, Mabe has spent more than two decades entertaining audiences across television, radio, live performance, and digital platforms.

His work has reached millions of viewers, earning him a substantial online following and recognition from major media outlets. Mabe has appeared on NBC and ABC, been featured in People magazine and The New York Times, and written and produced content for Country Music Television. He also appeared in the Lionsgate comedy feature Natural Born Pranksters.

With a career built on creativity, production experience, and an instinct for connecting with audiences, Mabe brings a distinctive entertainment background to Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light.

KATO KAELIN: A FAMILIAR FACE IN FILM AND TELEVISION

Kato Kaelin is an actor, producer, and television and radio personality whose career spans film, television, entertainment programming, and pop culture. He became a nationally recognized figure during the highly publicized 1995 O. J. Simpson murder trial and subsequently continued building a career across a wide range of entertainment formats.

Kaelin has appeared in films including BASEketball, Pauly Shore Is Dead, National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze 2, and A Soldier’s Descent. His television appearances include MADtv, The Howard Stern Show, and Celebrity Big Brother, where he competed in the show’s second U.S. season. He has also hosted Tailgating with Kato, bringing his personality and interviewing style to sports and entertainment audiences.

With experience spanning acting, producing, and television hosting, Kaelin adds another recognizable entertainment figure to the executive production team behind Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light.

A NEW CHAPTER IN THE WITCHCRAFT LEGACY

Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light explores a sinister world of forbidden knowledge, occult practices, and a cult whose beliefs are rooted in the Seven Deadly Sins. The story follows the dark trail surrounding The Children of the Hollow, drawing on the mythology of an ancient manuscript and the demonic forces connected to it.

The film features a notable ensemble that includes Eric Roberts, Lisa Wilcox, Sandy Johnson, Marc Price, Kato Kaelin, Vernon Wells, Andrew Pierson, and original Studio 54 DJ Rockin’ Ronnie, alongside other genre and entertainment personalities. The project also features Chris McKinnell, grandson of renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren and founder and director of the Warren Legacy Foundation for Paranormal Research.

With its expanding team of entertainment professionals, recognizable cast, and roots in one of horror’s enduring franchises, Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light brings together a new generation of collaborators to continue the saga while taking the series into found-footage territory for the first time.
