“Condemned Dreams” from Director George Tsouris to Premiere at Cinema Village on September 4, 2025

Condemned Dreams, the latest feature from director George Tsouris, will premiere at the historic Cinema Village in New York City on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

A philosophical horror-thriller, Condemned Dreams follows a disgraced journalist who finds renewed purpose while investigating the story of a condemned transgender revolutionary. As the prisoner clings to her principles and her art to survive, the journalist is drawn into a moral and ideological battle that forces both characters, and the audience, to grapple with questions of justice, identity, and truth in a world that punishes those who dare to be different.

The film stars Catherine Parish (Totem Chaser) as the journalist, and Soft Abilez (Dexter: Resurrection) as the revolutionary prisoner. Supporting them are New York City rocker Rew Starr (After School) as the publisher, and newcomer Brady Moldrup as the detective. The ensemble cast also includes Arielle Hope (Theresa and Allison), Tony Wolf (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Mimsey Mack, Evan Slack and Zay Palumbo.

Written, produced, and directed by George Tsouris, Condemned Dreams is his sophomore feature, following the cult horror film Totem Chaser. The screenplay draws inspiration from ancient Platonic dialogues while tackling urgent modern themes such as the death penalty, gender, and the role of art in confronting systemic violence. The result is a slow-burn thriller that blends psychological tension with philosophical depth.

The premiere will take place at Cinema Village, Greenwich Village’s longest continuously operating movie theater, located at 22 East 12th Street, New York, NY 10003.
