In a post-apocalyptic world zombies are being controlled by a woman known only as Apocolypta and she is hellbent on ruling this western land but a group of gunslingers are out to stop her and her zombie horde.
The 90’s was full of boy bands but all things must come to an end and these bands split up, now what would these past singers set out to do? Well members of *NSync, Backstreet Boys, O-Town and 98 Degrees decided to come together and make a zombie film that has few saving graces. So the plot…..a post-apocalyptic western world is over run by zombies controlled by a gruff sounding lady known only as Apocolypta who has managed to gain control of zombies. As the zombie attacks become more frequent a team of poor excuse magnificent seven wannabes come together to tackle the threat. They must climb a mountain and come face to face with Apocolypta but she escapes them. She now has set her zombies to attack the town known as Desert Springs where the finale will thankfully take place. I’m sure it sounded like a moneymaker on paper, get a bunch of members of old boy bands together and make a zombie movie. Unfortunately the storyline is dull and the characters you feel no sympathy for so if they end up dead…oh well. These singers and dancers should stick to what they are good at, though the film does have a few good things about it. Joey Fatone (member of *Nsync) is the standout performer as Whiskey Joe, he looks like he really enjoyed his character and seems to be emulating Randy Quaid’s character from ‘INDEPENDENCE DAY‘. It is worth pointing out that these undead are called copperheads NOT zombies, this is due to the virus apparently coming from a copper mine and thats what the miners were called so the name stuck. Some interesting gore shots throughout which will keep undead fans happy but as a film it is far from memorable.
