THE THIRD BHF BOOK OF HORROR STORIES
A man traumatized by a childhood tragedy returns home and is hunted down by a supernatural river monster. A radio personality desperate for cinematic fame attempts an on-screen human sacrifice in order to achieve the notoriety he craves. A man makes the most of the remainder of his life after hearing a premonition that he has days to live. Werewolves, zombies, vampires, ghosts, and every iconic supernatural being makes an appearance in The Third BHF Book of Horror Stories. These tales are inspired by, if not directly related to, classic British horror films, part homage, and sometimes even part fan fiction as dozens of horror authors feature their take on a classic horror character or situation.
Overall, the stories are entertaining. There are a few weaker spots and a few that drag on too long or not long enough, but they are easy to skip over in order to get to something more compelling. The stories never become over-the-top in gore or scare-factors, making it the kind of book a 12-year-old can
read under the covers with a flashlight, but many still pack a punch with a twist or unexpected ending that provides that jolt of adrenaline that horror fans crave.
